CAD applications were normally too ‘heavy’ to be given away on magazine cover-disks. Nevertheless, ‘PC Plus’ provided a few over the years.
The hardest part when writing tutorials is coping with the sheer number of features in even the most basic CAD program – drawing tools, editing and selecting, display controls, layers and library commands, to name just a few. It’s tricky getting the balance right between simple step-by-step instructions for raw beginners and introducing more advanced features for readers who’ve used CAD before.
